Graduation Day

Well, folks. It's true -- all good things must come to an end, you see. A couple of weeks ago I had my annual review with my Early Intervention peeps. Good peeps that they are, put me through some rigorous testing. Jackson do this. Jackson do that. Jackson, Jackson, Jackson. You get the picture.

Well, as it turns out, it is with mixed feelings that I am proud to say I have "graduated" and no longer qualify for Early Intervention services. In some areas I even tested a couple of months higher than my age, which is awesome! You should have seen the very proud looks on my Mommies' faces.

It was a good day.

Alas, bittersweet, I must say. For I have thoroughly enjoyed the time with my good friend, Miss Dawn (pictured above). She has been great and I've enjoyed meeting with her regularly to show off my skills.

Thanks, Miss Dawn, for all you've done. It's been a monumental year and I couldn't have done it (so splendidly, I should say) without your help. I'm gonna miss you!

A 4th-full of Fun

I know this is a little late, but I wanted to share some pics from my 4th of July weekend at Grandma Bertha and Grandpa Jessie's in NYC. We went up late Thursday night and enjoyed some lazy days at the house. It was nice to see everyone and I even scored a cool toy truck!

During our trip my Mommies and I went to The Bronx Zoo. It was rainy, but still lots of fun. I enjoyed looking at all of the animals even though I had no idea what they were. All I know is they smelled (like money, baby, like money!) and they made a lot of weird noises. I'm trying to learn some of the sounds they make, too. For example, "Rrrrraaaaarrrrrrgggghhhhh!" Can you guess what that was? Yeah, beats me, too, but it sounds scarry!

Here are some cool pics. Make sure you click on the animal pictures to get a better look at them. There are some cool (and some creepy) animals, birds and insects out there!

Florida On My Mind...

It's been a busy few months, so it's no surprise I haven't been able to blog as regularly as I'd like. Well, that's the way it goes and that's why God created that sweet thing we all like to call: VACATION. That's right. I needed a vacation, and what better way to "vacate" than to head down to Florida for a good ol' family reunion?

Now, some of you may be saying, "Family Reunion"? That's no vacation, son! Well, indeed, I had my own reservations about this whole thing, but let me tell you. It was a daggon'd good time!

Pool? Loved it! Sun kissin' my face? Loved it! Hangin' with the fam? Totally loved it! I even enjoyed wearing our official family reunion outfit and posing for pictures. I got to sit like a big boy in the chair just like my cousin Hayden. And the food? Yeah, I ate. Tons. And let me tell you. These relatives get crazy when they're together. I'm not sharing on the blog, but I have blackmail pictures. With gators. And that's all I have to say about that.

Check out a few pics from my awesome week...love you family! See you at the Cape in 2010!

Birthday Bash Weekends

Greetings, my good blogger peeps. It's been a busy few weeks and I haven't had a chance to update you on my world lately. It's been very hot here the past few weeks - you can tell that summer is getting into full swing. And with the good weather come GREAT birthday parties! These past two weekends I've been attending birthday parties. And you know what comes with birhtday parties? CAKE! Let me tell you - these guys know cake.

Today I went to my friend Ruby's 1st birthday party. Ruby is my cutie friend from daycare. We went to her house to celebrate. They have a great yard to play and there were lots of wet, splishy-splashing things to do. I had a lot of fun playing in the water and climbed up and into a sand and pool toy that they filled with water. Oh, it's so much more fun when you climb INTO it to splash around!

Last weekend was my friend Seba's 1st birthday party. His party was at his Grandma and Grandpa's place. It was also lovely and I enjoyed getting to know & play with the other kids. They even had one of those big air-filled jumper cages, but I'm too small for that so I didn't go in. There was a slip 'n slide that sprayed water and it was fun to try and catch and jump into the spray.

It's hard to believe that we're all turning a year old! Next thing you know, we'll be taking pictures for our first day of school. Until then, check out my pictures from the birthday parties. Next time I'll update you on some of the milestone/funny things that I've been learning. Until next time!

Memorable Monday

This Memorial Day we went to my Uncle Rob & Aunt Brenda's to enjoy a relaxing day off. My cousins Hayden and Myra and I had a whole lot of fun playing with the popper toy they gave me for my birthday. It provided hours and hours of entertainment! We also spent some time outside (see above picture) and enjoyed the warm weather. It was a little windy, but still loads of fun.

On Sunday, I went to a friend's 2nd birthday party. We got to romp around at a tumbling place - there was a super cushy floor and lots of soft blocks that you can crawl and climb up on. I practiced my climbing skills and scaled a "hill". Don't fence me in, I say! Here are some pictures from the party.
