A Bear-y Good Time

My friend, Miss Sandy, gave me a cute bear outfit for Christmas. Mommy Cia has been trying to get a photo of me for the past month and finally succeeded. I've been enjoying my outfit, especially as it continues to be cold outside. Being a bear is FUN! And warm, too!

These days I've been keeping myself very busy. I've been pulling myself up more and more, crawling over my "Mountain Mommy, Cia" and learning to crawl backwards. I don't know why I'm crawling backwards. I keep trying to get to the things in front of me, but I always manage to scoot, scoot backwards.

I've also started to make good progress moving around my blanketed "play" area. It starts with me on my back, to me on my belly, to pushing myself up, to sitting and then half-turning. Then going back down on my belly and pushing myself up into "downward facing dog", then "side plank", back to sitting and then all over again. Good times!

Let's Go Shopping!

Last weekend, my Mommies and I did a little shopping, and guess what? It turns out I'm big enough to sit in the shopping cart now! Here I am taking a trip around the store. There's so much to see!

Music Man

It's been a few days since I last blogged, but you know, I'm a busy boy. Hmm, almost sounds like I'm going to confessional, doesn't it? Ha! Well, I have been busy. Busy makin' music, baby!

Mommy Jenny was cooking and playing some tunes the other day. I was keeping her company in the kitchen and even helped by play the drums. Check it out below. If you listen closely, you can even hear Mommy Jenny's back-up singing. Her singing isn't too bad, but my drumming is better. Hee, hee...

While I was in the kitchen, Mommy Cia took these pictures of me, too.

And, after all of that hard work, it was time to wind down and fall asleep in Mommy Jenny's lap. I like her as my back-up singer, but I like her even better when I get to snuggle in and fall asleep in her arms. That's all for now, folks!

Baby Athletics

Yesterday was a big day for me. For the first time, I pulled myself all the way up without any help from my Mommies. While they've helped me sit up and get on my feet, this time I did it all by myself! And let me tell you, they were surprised.

Mommy Cia had put me in my crib to hang out for a sec while she grabbed something from the other room. When she came in, I was standing up waiting for her. She quickly called Mommy Jenny over to my room and then snapped this fuzzy picture of me in the act:


I'm thinking that all of my baby push-ups have helped me do this. Now The Moms say they're going to lower the mattress on my bed, because they don't want me falling over!

Bath Time

Rub-dub-dub, there's ducky in the tub! Mommy Jenny says this is a special tub just for me, but I think it's really just a big bucket. You know what, though? It works! I've taken big boy baths in the big bathtub, but my tub is the perfect size for me, because I can get a good grip on the sides. Today I even tried pulling myself up a few times.

Wow. 2007 has come and gone. What a year it's been. I get tired just thinking of all that has happened. From swimming lazyily around in Mommy Cia's belly, to making a dramatic entrance, to growing a tooth. And that was just the past 7 months! Now, on to bigger and better things.

But first, I need to take a nap. Last year's work was draining!
