Happy Halloween!

I hope you had a super Halloween and had lots of fun dressing up this evening. I know I did. I especially enjoyed selecting my candy and putting it in my pumpkin.

My costume this year was very low-key and I planned to go as a no-name construction worker, complete with tools and a good ol' hard hat. As it turns out, my costume looked pretty realistic, because lots of people told me I looked like Bob The Builder. Here's a pic of the real Bob The Builder:

The Moms tried to get a picture of me with my hard hat on, but I kept throwing it off. Simply put, I was interested in just getting the candy. Here are some pics of me checking out my stash after I went trick or treating. I scored some good candy tonight - I hope the Moms don't eat it all before I wake up tomorrow morning!

Coming Down!

The other day the Moms were telling stories about me and sharing, with friends & family, some of my new, mad skills. "Mad Skills" for those of you not in the know means "crazy, wild, good skills". You may otherwise translate it to mean, "I am one smart...little boy".

I now share with you my ability to go down the stairs - by myself and facing forward. I know some of you didn't believe it when the Moms told you, so here is my proof (properly supervised, of course).

Not bad, huh? I'm pretty proud of it, too. Over the past few months I've also added to my "baby tricks" repertoire. Here's a partial list:

* Helping to put toys away before I go upstairs for bed
* Kissing the picture of my Grandma & Grandpa when asked
* Sounding out what monkeys, cows and dogs say
* Climbing in/out of the bathtub on my own
* Climbing onto the chair in my room, "reading" a book and crawling back down by myself
* Going up the climbing wall by myself (seriously - I did this over the weekend)
* Dancing on command - which includes a smashingly good "shake a leg" move)

Here I am - hard at work updating my blog:

Until next time...say "Cheese!" and have a super week.

Bed Racing, Anyone?

This weekend the Moms and I took a day trip to Ogunquit, ME. We enjoyed walking and checking out the little shops, but the best part of the day was watching the bed races. You read that right - bed racing. As in decorated beds. Racing down the street. Oh yeah, baby!

Think I'm kidding? Watch the video...

As if that wasn't funny enough, every once in a while they'd take a break between races to let cars pass through. But those Mainers...watch out for 'em! They boo'd the poor cars as they would pass through, because they were holding up the races. It was pretty funny. So funny that we called it the drive of shame and we didn't dare leave early for fear of getting boo'd as we drove by the throngs of bed-racing maniacs.

What better way to spend a weekend? Haha! Until next time...peace, out!

Saturday Fun

This afternoon we took a trip to see Uncle Rob, Aunt Brenda and cousins Hayden and Myra. It has gotten colder now, but we still had a fun time hangin' and playing on the toy sets by the lake. Uncle Rob had a fab idea of taking family pictures - and we all wore jeans and white button-down shirts. Of course, with three kids running around, the picture idea was better in theory rather than practice. No matter though - we still got some good pics and the most important (and best) thing was spending time together.

Here are some random pictures from our time by the lake.

I still need to get images from Uncle Rob's camera, and as soon as I do, I'll be sure to post a follow-up for you so you can check them out.

Columbus Day Weekend

Columbus Day (as defined by Wikipedia)
Celebrations honoring Christopher Columbus' first voyage to the Americas in 1492.

This is me, not working...(ok, this wasn't even taken on Columbus Day, but I look good, so there).

Columbus Day, otherwise defined by me, is another holiday whereby my Mommies get to take a day off from work. Oh fine, where everyone ELSE's parents get to take the day off from work. Daycare was closed, so I spent the day hanging out with Mommy Jenny. We had a lovely time and even went to brunch with some of her friends, Miss Jana (shout out!) and Miss Adrienne who is visiting from California (double shout out!). Poor Mommy Cia...she wanted to go, but had to work. She DID, however, get to leave work early to watch the ALCS game (with the Sox, yeah baby!) and to drink an adult beverage. A rare night out without me in tow, so she took full advantage.

This past week, we also had the pleasure of the company of our friends Miss Micah and Miss Sarah (also a couple of hip, Californian chicas). I got so used to having them around that I must say it's a bit quiet here without them.

Before they left, we took a trip to the Jamaica Pond in Jamaica Plain. During our visit we saw a huge turtle! It was trying to escape to the road, but a nice man "rescued" him and put him back in the pond. He had to have been 30lbs - way bigger than me, for sure! But, of course, the best part was feeding the duckies. Those ducks are WHACK! After a couple of minutes, it was a feeding frenzy. And let me just tell you - those ducks are NOT shy. Mommy Cia even fed one right from her hand! Here are a couple of pics from our visit.

On Sunday, Mommy Cia, Mommy Jenny and I went to the Wellesley Campus. We let the dogs have a romp on the quad to burn off some energy, and then we took a walk by the pond. During our walk I raced Mommy Jenny down the walkway. Check it out:

Secret Road Trip

Fall is officially here, and with it comes every young baby's right of passage - the scenic drive to watch the changing leaves, apple picking and picking a pumpkin. Well, this past weekend, Mommy Jenny orchestrated a fantastic super, secret road trip that included all of these these, PLUS a very cool trip through a corn maze. I don't know how I survived nearly 3 hours lost in the corn maze, but I did. And it was AWESOME. Here are some pics from our adventures. Sorry...no pictures of us in the maze. We were too focused on making our way through that we forgot to take pictures. Haha!
