Birthday Bash

Next week is my birthday. But, just like me, my mommies couldn't wait to throw me a birthday party with all of my friends and family. A ton of people came over including a bunch of my daycare peeps, playgroup peeps, my Grandma Coca and Grandpa Bob, my Grandma Bertha and Aunt Lakia, and my Uncle Rob, Aunt Brenda and Cousins Hayden and Myra. Talk about a full-house party!

Thanks to everyone for helping me celebrate my very first birthday. I had fun seeing everyone and love gifts you gave me...so sweet of you! My day really was awesome - made so especially because you were there, and I can't imagine having a better time. After all, we got to wiggle and giggle and play, play, play. There was some good grub and Mommy Jenny made me a doggie cake. Grandma Coca says that at first she thought we'd be eating cake for days. But boy...was that cake good! So good that there's not much left at all!

There so much more to tell you and I could go on and on and on, but it's late now and Mommy Jenny is telling Mommy Cia to go to bed. Since Mommy Cia is my muse, I suppose this means I need to wrap it up (haha - what a pun). So, with that, I leave you now with some highlight pics from my party. I'll post some more over the next couple of days.

Weekend Fun

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. I sure did - it was busy, busy. Mommy Jenny had Open Studios, where she and her fellow artists open their studios up to the public. Mommy Cia and I walked around the other artists' studios, and boy, there's some good art out there!

We also had dinner at Punjab with my friend Sebastian and his Mommy & Daddy. It was the first time I had Indian food, and it was very, very good. The vegetable samosas are super tasty but I think maybe it put a little bug in my pants, because I was wiggly and squiggly during dinner. Sebastian was a super trooper and patiently ate his veggies and made googly eyes with the patrons next to us. I think he won some fans over there. Check out his blog. Haha!

I don't have any pics from my weekend, but here's a funny one of me amongst a floor full of kleenex. How I love pulling the tissues out of the box - and then when they're all gone, I love playing with the empty box, too!

Happy May Day!

Happy May Day, everyone! Such a beautiful day today that I couldn't allow myself to be reigned in. What's a busy boy to do? Gotta break on through to the other side, yeah, break on through to the other side!

This afternoon I also went to the library with Mommy Cia. We met my friend, Zach, and his daddy Stephen. The library is quite nice, because there's a big open space where the children's books are located. So, we got to crawl (and walk) all over. Fun, fun!

I'm also learning the fun art of playing "chase". Lately, when I break through the makeshift barrier we have up separating the tv room from the living room, I will pause and look at my mommy. When one of them looks at me, I proceed to giggle relentlessly and then turn to run away. Yeah, I know I'm being a little mischievous. That's why it's so fun. Hee-hee!

On My Own

From wobbly walker using Mommy's fingers to steady me along, to a giggly, wobbly walker going at it solo. You know trouble is around the corner now! I've decided that crawling is nice (and it still gets me around), but walkin'...walkin's where it's at!

Mommy Cia took this video of me using her cell phone. Check it out.

Walk With Me

It's been awhile, baby. I know it's been a good month since I last posted an entry. Blame my scribe, Mommy Cia. Oh, ok. You can blame me, too...I've been keeping Mommy Cia and Mommy Jenny on their toes. Why? Because I'm on the move, baby, and most recently have begun walking!

Here's a video of me on my toes.

As you can imagine, it's been a crazy month of learning and growing. Now that I'm on my feet (and have even walked a few steps without any help at all), it's going to get even nuttier around here. I'll be sure to make my scribe doesn't fall behind with the updates. Meanwhile, here are some pictues from the past month to bring you up to speed with how I'm doing. Until next time!

Baby Derby

I'm a TV star!

Today I participated in a local TV station's Baby Derby. They even used me for a solo "teaser" to the race, so I had some TV time all by myself.

The racing was good - I was in good form and got some good laps in around the station, so I just knew I was going to win. Then, someone's mommy threw out a binky and that was all she wrote. Distracted by a binky, I ended up coming in 3rd place. Pah! It's the binky's fault! Ah well, disracted by gadgets and food...just like a man, is what they said. Haha. Well, it was a grand time anyway. The winner ended up being the ONLY girl who was in the race, and Mommy Cia says that if I am going to lose, might as well lose to the only girl that was there. Girl power, she said as she laughed.

Mommy Cia taped the segments and will be ripping them so I can put them on the blog sometime soon. Meanwhile, you can view the race by clicking here. Plus, below are some more pics from my 15 seconds of fame.
